One of the definitions of cheap is low in cost. Did you know that in the grocery store, many of the items that are packaged as store brands were made by the same company that brings you the name brand stuff? A lower price tag doesn’t mean that cheap smart phones can’t provide users with the same kind of quality that the more costly ones do.
The product is just as good but it’s targeted to a group of people who believe they can save money and still get what they need. Good quality items don’t have to be expensive and neither does the right mobile device. Don’t automatically associate cheap with substandard.
You can find phones that won’t cost you your life’s savings by doing a little research. Cut out any extra features that you don’t believe you’ll use. But understand that many so called cheap smart phones will still bring users a great deal of features so you won’t be scraping the bottom of the proverbial phone barrel. Phones in the top of their class can easily cost consumers over $500 with tax figured in depending on what kind of model is purchased.
You can find cheap smart phones for anywhere from a few hundred dollars off to slightly less than a $100. Let’s take a look at few less costly ones. Starting with the Blackberry Curve 8520 Gemini SmartPhone.
If you buy the International version, some of them don’t come with a warranty but some do, Either way, they’re still a good phone. With this model, you get the camera, a 2.0 MP, plus video recording and it’s enabled with Wi-Fi.
Don’t let the fact that it comes without a warranty make you hesitate. You can always purchase a warranty separately and often, you’ll still save money over the more expensive brand that does come with one.
Other brands that offer less expensive phones are LG, Palm and HTC. Samsung also has an unlocked cell phone that’s cheap in price but not in features. The Samsung S5600 is the international version with a camera.
It has touchscreen – the interface is the TouchWiz – and you’ll find it has a lot of the same quality (if not more) as the phones for double the price. You’ll still get Edge and GPS/location and high speed.
You can even keep your personal and professional life in tip top shape. With many of the less costly phones, you’ll still get the organizational tools you want to have plus many of them have the full Qwerty keyboard that users rave about. Cheap smart phones don’t mean you’ll get less attractive phones. They’re just as slim and attractive as the ones you pay more for.
